I always also thought he was pretty basic too. Basically, he just has the right hand and the left, but, somehow really makes it work for him.
Maybe let’s just call it great fundamentals. Honestly I hate it when fighters fight with their hands low and things like that. Unless they are RJJ.
He does way more than the basics, this is more about who has the best simple style but does the simple bits perfectly
Hamzah Sheeraz at the moment feels like he wins with the basic style of keeping distance and the 1-2, utilising his height advantage and power. in terms of textbook fundamentals, Bivol. He is textbook. It is much harder to teach someone to box like Crawford, Usyk, Loma as they rely on athleticism and/or unorthodox styles.
And he can jab hard enough, and often enough to basically break another fighters heart. He puts fighters under such immense mental pressure in general, too. Whilst being remarkably mentally strong himself. He's pretty much the full package other than being a single devastating punch artist. He's the text book pro for sure. Inside and outside of the ring, mate.
