The punch he knocked Adamek down with was quite a shot. I was impressed that Adamek got back up.

Hope Pulev wins this. Big, slow, unskilled heavys like Ustinov are horrible to watch.

This fight is a lot closer than the oddsmakers and us fans are calling it.

Ustinov may have a far lower LOC, less decorated amatuer background, but punch for punch, he matches up well with most all of the top 30.
He's had his chin tested and it's pass the early exams. He's shown the ability to outbox several guys who coulda outclassed him, and he's showed that unrelenting style that makes champions what they are.

Pulev, though is also as solid as they come. He's shown great poise for a big man, and is patient picking his spots. He appears the much smarter guy, but smarts don't win every fight.

I see this as a pickem really with the slight advantage going to the more experienced Pulev. But I won't be counting out Ustinov by any means. His power and size are such that a single well placed shot could turn this fight around in a moment.

I would rather see Pulev winning this though as he's the younger guy with more potential to achieve big things in the division. Ustinovs late showing in the division should have been a factor in the speed at which he was steered. Hopefully Pulev wins this one and Ustinov takes the L but continues to fight and beat top 100s for a few more yrs.

Pulev will have to adjust his style and be more mobile then in previous fights. Pulev has a good jab and footwork but he gets hit.....and he doesn't want to risk getting his by big Ustinov. Pulev would be faster at around 240 but 249 is probably a good weight for him.

He's lucky that Ustinov does not seem to be in optimal condition.
