#7 Lucian Bute. He's mad under rated on this board. especially after he continues to learn, he's gonna be a big player in the game.

Stylistically Calzaghe is nasty for him, he is the toughest by far

In this order I believe. I find it hard to believe that he would beat 1-4. He would have life and death matches with 5-7, where he would probably lose. #8 is a 50/50, and Allan Green is a 75/25 in favor of Pavlik. Maybe I rate Hopkins too highly on the list, but I think his experience and weight will help him here...

I see Kessler as Pavlik-like but a better athlete, so i'll go with him.

Winky Wright is a tough fight for anyone. Hopkins has been the only person to convincingly beat him, but is Pavlik as experienced as Bernard?

Nah, Hopkins would have a field day picking his way through all those holes.

I pretty much see it the same way, except I think he'd beat Andrade decisively on points.

There was nothing convincing about a headbutt and a 12 round clichathon that saw Wright consistently bring the action (even though way out of his natural weightclass) only to held on average every 16 seconds.

Moreover, Pavlik will decimate Winky at this stage; his static turtleshell defense will be bludgeoned by the way more powerful Pavlik - not to mention Kelly himself is essentailly a pressure fighter who wont let an ageing Wink breathe. Dat fights a massacre right there :deal

Calzaghe is a terrible style matchup for Pavlik. His footspeed, usage of angles, quick hands, unpredictable attack, and in and out movement would mean an almost sure defeat for the straight ahead Pavlik who lacks variation in his movement and doesn't have the athleticism or footspeed to deal with that kind of animal.

Kessler, Hopkins, Dawson, and Bute also fit the mold of fighters who could potentially outbox Pavlik.

Andrade would make for a hell of a fight. He'd either get outboxed for a majority of the rounds, hurt Pavlik a few times, and lose a decision, or grind Pavlik down by making it a fight in close, not allowing Pavlik the space to get off with his most effective shots.

I'd take Pavlik over Abraham by decision, but it would be a dangerous fight in which he'd have to implement a cerebral gameplan and not get too sloppy and careless. Haven't seen enough of Froch to really comment.

    Pavlik over Wright by TKO.

He knocks the hell out of Allan Green, too. Brutally I might add.

He may be underrated but he really isnt up with Calzaghe, Hopkins or Kessler in threat terms. Maybe in the future but not now.

    Potentially?

The only iffy one is Bute, who I'd pick to KO Pavlik with pin point straight lefts. Dawson would starch him early(fights at 175), Kessler kills him and Hopkins(again, at 175) would KO him also.

If Trinidad couldn't win a round against Winky, and Felix, although a smaller man than Pavlik, is a top puncher, surely Wright would have a chance against Pavlik. Arguably, Wright beat Jermain Taylor who gave Pavlik two tough fights.

I used potentially simply because the fights haven't happened.

All but Bute are forgone conclusions. Goddamn us Calzaghe fans get smug before the fights!:patsch

You guys are just going to have to excuse me until the fights over, I'm on overdrive right now with Calzaghe fandom because the fight build up has me pumped for the executioner to be throughly executed.

I'm even more excited than I was for the Kessler fight because I actually did feel Kessler had a good chance after giving him a strong look and seeing how good he was...:yep

This one's just going to be massive fun, then I'm going to come back in here and take the heads of a few ridiculous troll/haters if they show back up.:yep
