    Joe Louis was loved and adored after he beat Schmelling, but faced a lot of racism before hand. Overall, I would say he became one of America's most beloved sports figures and was loved more than Ali during his career.

    joe louis was black at a bad time to be black, same with ali and he was super outspoken, duran was crude and rude, by contrast pacman is the darling of his country and people around the world think he is a nice guy. i don't think this one is close. Pac by a mile.

    joe louis definetly. the whole world loved him, ali was despised by many and thought of as egotistical, people liked joe and thought he was a good guy.
