    Raul Jibaro Perez had fast hands for a short while, but he lost his speed pretty quickly as his dedication went downhill.

    Miguel Canto is one of the sports legendary pure boxers.Grossly undervalued by recent generations of mexican fans imo.

    Erik Morales, Barrera and Marquez were very fast. David Diaz was also a good one.

    The thing is that if you make a list of the fastest 100 fighters in history from all over the world. No mexican would make the list probably, maybe DLH and maromero paez make the bottom 20 but that's it. And both of them grew up in the US and learned the sport there.

    That's just not their fighting style, it has nothing to do with athletic ability.

    Are you sure? I noticed mexicans aren't ridiculously fast and they typically have higher bodyfat.

    It's that style, never really caught on in Mexico and his weight hurts him here. Too bad really, because he's one of their finest ever.
