Mike Tyson, the guy made even grandmas watch his fights. I remember back in July of 04 (Williams) and June of 05 (McBride), both hooters and the bar I went to were packed, people were backed up to the door in they werent letting anymore people in at the bar it was filled up some much. I dont think will ever see another Heavyweight like Tyson, who can get the average guys attention like he did.

    Erik "EL TEEEERRRRIIIIBLE" Morales!
He could very well be the most technical crowd pleasing fighter.
He had all the skills to be a boring boxer and just outbox people with that beautiful jab he had. Also could have had a way longer career that way but instead he worried about his fans and made brawls instead of boring Decisions.
I always wondered how long he could have went on fighting had he just stuck to boxing more than brawling....

I was, and the average guy was still interested in Tyson at the time, at least where I live. Tyson could still comeback now and fight Kimbo Slice or Holyfield for the 3rd time, and people will still watch in abudence. Tyson is a legend my friend, like Ali, and Dempsey before him, these are the fighters that will be remembered and talked about for generations to come.

Thankyou for reminding me of possibly the 2 worst fights I have ever seen. I'm sure I'll sleep nightmare free tonight now.

Definitely, they are some of the matches that everyone watched in excitement, no matter if liked boxing or not.

Muhammed Ali by a mile, because he was both the greatest fighter and biggest persona in the sport, or any sport. Tyson had no likeable persona and was KO'd age 24.

Sal Sanchez, he was a treat to those who ever saw him.

    Mayorga, no doubt.

    Tyson, hands down.

His mainstream media fame illustrates just how exciting and interesting his fights were to not only the boxing public, but everyday people who was not into boxing, at all, till they heard of and saw the phenom that was a young, fast, powerful, aggressive heavyweight destroyer name Tyson.
