Floyd was not the best defensive boxer. Nice try.

Who said Floyd was #1? Quora?

I try to avoid Quora at all costs, especially in regards to intelligent boxing discourse?

Do you own stock in Quora or something?

I agree, I just like pasting their questions, I do think Floyd is in the Top 10 list of defensive fighters though, I actually wrote Pep in as my answer on Quora.

Maybe not but he has the best stats and got hit less over his career since stats were first being collected.

Does he get hit less because of his counter punching skills or his defense? Or do the 2 blend into the same answer.

I am not knocking Floyd and think he is in any conversation about great defensive fighters....

I am however knocking Quora (it sucks) and I come here to avoid nuts that post there (not meaning you per se) and YouTube comment sections.

    Quora sucks

I don't know if I could pick a best defensive fighter of all time but I would argue against any of these guys.

    Toney
    SweetPea
    Pep
    Bhop
    Charles

Intuitively, I would expect the greatest defensive fighter of all time, so be somebody who didn't have much apart from his defensive brilliance.

If Roy Jones's chin is so terrible...then he should be in the discussion

I always felt Locche had the best defense would stand right in the pocket and make you miss by a few inches.

    The question is kinda ambiguous.

Is it who is the best fighter, who had a defensive style, or which fighter had the best defence?
