    Won’t happen.
WBC made all that talk about a mini tournament for the mandatory position with Ruiz v Ortiz and wilder v Helenius with the winners facing off.
Both wilder and Ruiz won and the fights still not been made yet despite them being under the same promotion and the first fights being in September and October last year. There’s no reason for it not to have been made already.

I'm going with Jermaine Franklin. Stylistically he is perfect for Wilder - short, stocky and susceptible to the right hand. Plus managing to KO someone, who Joshua struggled would be good on paper, and will get inside AJ's head.

It's really bad. I'm at the point where I could ignore everything with the division and be perfectly fine. Unless it's Fury/Usyk I don't even wanna see anymore fights. And then after that.........I really can't name any matchups I clamor to see.

When wilder with his 43wins by 42 ko,s in hw is a cherrypicking bum how would you call usyk with his 4 wins by 0 ko,s in hw - especially when two of his three opponents are not worth mentioning and the upcoming dubois fight is a pure joke ?

You’re bitching like a 13 year old girl on the rag about Usyk fighting his mandatory. Grow up you sad *******. It’s hardly his fault the orgs are corrupt as fcuk and give the Donkey Dubois the shot.

With your weak personal insults you just identify yourself as a small and frustrated mr nobody , no need to argue with such a weak character as you until you find a constructive way to communicate .

No need to highlight again that usyks 4 hw wins with a 0 % ko rate against three opponents with only one of them noteworthy are nothing up to now.

    Think about it.

Painfully true. But I will continue to delude myself into thinking that he'll actually fight AJ in December and then Usyk shortly afterwards before throwing in the towel.

I think wilder will have problems to find good opponents . He has currently no belt to offer but stays with his explosive punching power dangerous . He would immediately agree to fight usyk or aj but both tend to better stay away .

    Zhang would be cool !

Zhang vs. Wilder would be amazing. That's been my dark horse fight wish for awhile now. Two hard punching heavyweights, what's not to love?

Well, if he's really gonna be fighting AJ in December, I have two suggestions that I think would do him well in preparation, not due to the similarity to AJ, but just as a mental boost. First off, it may give him a big confidence boost to knockout the lamer, less skilled and more French version of AJ, Tony Yoka. Next to no risk right there, really. Just don't hold it in France, in case Yoka is somehow able to avoid the guillotine that is Wilder's hand for twelve rounds.

A second suggestion would be a perfect followup to Helenius as well. The Fury fights were probably demoralizing for Wilder, so knocking out a fat, bald, bearded guy his last time out was probably a very nice palette cleanser from those back to back ass whooping. The best way to follow up that therapeutic fight? Beating a guy named Fury, of course. I dunno what the hell Hughie is up to, but I say we drag him back into the ring so we can get Wilder's confidence up for this fight!

Jokes aside, I'd bet on a pretty soft touch. If he's really gonna fight AJ in December, then he'll prolly want someone who poses minimal risk of upsetting those plans and adds another KO to his highlight reel. So, I dunno, Guidry, Rice, Bryan, someone of that caliber.

Usyk has had 4 fights at the weight and beaten an opponent far better than anybody Wilder has beaten in 40+ fights. The only person that should be embarrassed about that is Wilder.

If he isn't fighting Joshua then Ruiz is the next best option. Sanchez would be respectable as well.

That's a good shout. Franklin has gone 12 rounds with Whyte and Joshua in his last two and had a 50-50 vs Whyte, so Wilder couldn't be given much stick for fighting Franklin as a tune up for Joshua. Joshua admitted after the Ruiz loss that Wilder had added to the pressure by starching Breazeale with one shot in the 1st.

"I'll eat your cornbread!" is a southern saying, quite possibly originating in Alabama or one of the other bama states. It is usually meant to express a warning that you will either take something belonging to someone you are addressing or that you would physically hurt them. Up north, I guess we just think it's more direct to tell someone you're going to uck-fay them in the ooty-bay, but either way you look at it, you know Wilder wants to eat somebody's cornbread. And they'll probably serve it up to him on a platter. And he'll eat it with his hands. No butter necessary. No honey. Nothing. Just with their hands. His hands. And his mouth. Digest all that with his stomach acid and whatever microflora up in them guts. Some enzymes. Salivary enzymes and from wherever else, metabolically, from within, on the inside of the endogenous body. Maybe with some supplemental bromelain he got from Swanson's. Make a meal out of the...opponent. That's what Wilder wanna do. God bless him.
