yes, I agree, superheavyweight Wlads best win is natural middleweight Chris Byrd. oh poor Wlad.... all those years and that's his best, versus a guy 5 divisions lower than him.
When you look at it, Wladimir does not have a career defining win (Haye was supposed to be it, a blown up cruiserweight). Sad stuff, the heavyweight division is garbage.
No No. Chagaev/Valuev and Klychko/Haye were supposed to happen a week apart from eachother and both guys who were co-promoted by King backed out so Klychko and Chagaev with full camps fought eachother instead. King orchestrated a paper title situation where the WBA who has always been his HW lapdogs refused to sanction the Klychko fight for the WBA title so after Ruslan lost they pretended like his title didn't exist and "promoted" Valuev's interm belt so Gaye and Valuev were fighting for a "world title" like the paper clowns they are. Haye was never a HW titlist.
Britains not a country.... Britain does not contain my country.... Britain contains lots of Africans..... Blood is not particular to countries. And Wlad s best win is still Chris Byrd.... Shall I go on?
Wasn't that you (and your folks) chanting at the weigh in: "David Haye...Knock you out ! David Haye's gonna knock you out !" ??? One might think you might have learned humility but no... embarrassing.
it wasn't, thereby invalidating the other part of your post - - not applicable. in future you might want to read and think before replying with a completely non applicable post.
I agree with this guy! If Chris Byrd jumped 5 weight classes and captured the Heavyweight title then he is an incredible fighter! Great victory (2x) for Wlad! I think Herol is correct in that Wlad showed a ton of skill in beating Byrd those two nights. Great to see another fan! :good
It took a guy who never won a title in his life only 5 rounds to blow out a prime Byrd. Easy.. Wlad needed a second fight when Byrd was shot to **** before he was able to knock him out. Two years before Wlads rematch , Byrd couldn't beat Golota ,who went on to lose 5 out of his next 8 fights. Thats the win that makes Wlad a top 10 ATG? lmfao. He'd be lucky to ever see the hall of fame and is only worthy by default of holding the titles for so long.
I agree! You know you're a bad boxer when the only thing you have going for your legacy is being the world champion for so many years!
Because Chris Byrd fought at middleweight in the amateurs? He'd been fighting at heavyweight since age 24 in 1994 before fighting Wlad at age 30 in 2000. That's like saying Pacquiao is a natural straw weight because his first fight was there, or he's a natural flyweight because he won his first world title there. Or saying Wladimir is a natural cruiserweight because most of his amateur fights were in the "under 200" category. People fill out in their 20s, a man's natural weight at age 19 isn't the same as his natural weight at age 30 (Byrd's age when he fought Wlad). Manny trying to make flyweight now or Wlad trying to make cruiserweight now would be absurd and impossible.
Bryd started his pro career at middleweight and moved down to Light Heavyweight at the age of 39. After stopping Vitali he also said "I'm a blown up Supper Middleweight". Chris Bryd is not a natural heavyweight, he even says so himself. Fair play to him though, he was still good enough to beat Vitali.
No. Byrd's first pro fight was at light heavyweight, he never had a single PRO fight at or below 168. And he moved up to heavyweight for his 4th pro fight. His move down to light heavyweight for his second last fight was a bad mistake, he looked terrible because it was not his natural weight. He looked okay in his last fight though, cruiserweight was likely his natural weight, as it is for Tomasz Adamek. Is Manny Pacquiao a natural straw weight? Is Wladimir Klitschko a natural cruiserweight because most of his amateur fights were in the "below 200" category?
