Got to be muhammad ali number one for me...unbelievable to watch at his very best. Followed by mike tyson. Followed by roy jones...again unbelievable to watch at his very best. Believe it or not ricky hattons up there for me as well...was brilliant coming through the ranks. Relentless the way he,d dismantle opponents when he was younger. Tailed off when the opposition became more skilled. But probably your best time with boxing is following someone from the start of their careers. Its basically like an investment. Notable mentions...nigel benn. Liked gerald mclellan as well. Both just absolute violence in a boxing ring...great sadness how that fight ended. Notable mention foreman...was quality in his first career....but his overall stories the best in boxing for me. Probably my favourite sport story. Kind of retired in shame really....following the ali loss then the excuses etc. Sat out for ten years. Came back in the least likely comeback to be succesful ever. Was mocked and laughed at...only to go on to become the heavyweight champion at something like 45...fat as a house as well. What a story and what a man. Really liking inoue atm as well. The guys leathal.
Sugar Ray Leonard (1st fight i seen was against Dave Boy Green) Marvellous Marvin Hagler (1st fight i seen was against Alan Minter) Julio Cesar Chavez (1st fight i seen was against Edwin Rosario)
