In my opinion it has to be Zab Judah. Flashes of being brilliant, natural ability and speed, extremely fast and a great boxer. When he tries he is almost unbeatable. He should have been a lot better than how he turned out. I blame that on a poor work ethic and the crowd he kept around himself. He gassed in many fights and due to his average chin he paid for it. I truly believe he should be a HOF for sure, I dont think he will make the cut when its said and done. But he is a big let down to me as a fan or his, he could have been one of the best boxers in the sport if it wasnt for his attitude and ethics.

Who is your biggest underachiever in boxing for the last 20 years?

mayweather, sensational boxing ability. should have taken out better boxers at 140, the top dogs at the time.

same can be said at 147, he should have got to cotto before margo did

he should have got to margo before mosley did

he should already have fought mosley

    williams and many more

I was fine with Mayweather until after Castillo...ever since then he has gradually declined as one of my favorite fighters. Now he is just blah, but I am glad he stepped up to fight the 38yr old Shane Mosley...thats good to see.

Joan Guzman had the talent to be pound for pound one of the best if not the best but lacked the discipline and the focus to achieve it.

I am really tired of hearing the 140 "he didn't fight anyone" argument. Unless he was planning on jumping Ricky Hatton or Miguel Cotto after a fight they weren't going to get anywhere near a boxing ring with him after the Gatti, as evidenced by both men acting like saying his name would bring plague.

At 147, The only ones at the time talking about Margarito was Margarito and Bob Arum whom Floyd had a nasty divorce from. Mosley said dental work and vacations were in order before he would even fight Floyd. Williams was pretty much an unknown at this time(all I remember about him was seeing him beat Santos Pakau) and brought zero dollars to the table. So he got a fight with Lineal champion Zab Judah, Judah took a mandatory/warm-up and got beat, Floyd kept the fight and beat Judah then he beat the guy that beat Judah in Baldomir. After winning a 4th WBC strap he fought De La Hoya at 154, said he was planning on retiring and then Ricky Hatton pushed his buttons, he moved back down to 147 and beat Hatton like a redheaded stepchild. Can you say he ran from Margrito, sure if you believe Bob Arum's account of things and that is just as ******ed as believing that Josh Clottey had diarrhea and that is why he didn't throw punches.

Ricardo Williams has got to be up there. Panchito Bojado too.

Michael Nunn really should've had a better career.

First fighter that came to mind for me, absolutely. Well-said.
