Floyd Mayweather. I dont care what anyone says. I’ve never seen someone so adept at hitting and not being hit. I didn’t get to see much Pep or any Greb. This is a call based on skill. I don’t think there’s been a man more skilled to step into the ring
Who exactly forgets that? It is discussed here in nearly every thread sometimes ones not even related to Muhammad.
I’ll honor the letter of the law and say: RJJ. Or Roy Jr. (which contains the name “Roy” but specifies it). (He fought amateur in my area when he was coming up and to me and others who came up around the same place and time it’s always Roy Jr and Roy Sr … nobody even says Jones, haha. You can have a discussion with someone at a boxing show you’ve never met and they could drop ‘I saw Roy Jr when he was just 16 years old’ and everyone in these parts knows exactly who you’re talking about.)
In this instance, they're both SRR. Scale him to size on anyone else, that is the last mf'er you'd want to see in the other corner, if you're smart.
I second you Vic. I’m not talking any ship here, Louis is the BOAT. Probably the most aesthetically pleasing fighter to watch in my book and his power was the cherry on top.
I don’t rate him as highly as you do but I do have to give Floyd his dues - and keeping how often you get hit to an absolute minimum is something to behold and is of great value. At his best, Jimmy Young was quite nifty at it also.
