Seriously, with the number of big fights coming up, just wait a damn month to ask the question.

Montiel might be worth throwing into the mix as well though.

If Martinez beats Williams then he takes it. Usurping Pavlik for his title and then beating Williams puts him in the top 5 p4p and they are the more impressive victories.

  7. Pac got a big welterweight to turn turtle for 12 rounds. Then he brutalized a middleweight in Margarito, sending him to the hospital despite carrying him the last 2 rounds.

    Pacquiao.

Unless Martinez makes Williams his ***** and KOs him in the mid rounds.

  8. His first round stoppage of Harris wasn't that impressive.

    :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

    1. Fernando Montiel- as of right now, I think he deserves it clearly
1b. Sergio Martinez- would surpass Montiel if he defeats Paul Williams
1c. Wlad Klitschko- would surpass Montiel if he defeats Dereck Chisora and Martinez doesn't defeat Williams
    4. Floyd Mayweather- been a while since a fighter won it with one win (off top of head, Jack Dempsey?), but #2 P4P beating #3 P4P is just about as impressive as it gets.

Honestly, I'm stunned that Pacquiao is getting consideration for FOTY when he beats an at the time of their fight, fringe top 30 P4Per in Clottey and Margarito, who was nowhere near any sane mans' top 100 P4P.

He weighed in at 150 pounds. He was not a middleweight, he was not even half-way to being a full junior middleweight...

    ...idiot.
