Lynch was a very special little fighter, a great of the fly division. A hard puncher with great feet and a great chin. He smashed Jackie Brown to pieces in two rounds and beat Peter Kane too, who was to follow him as champ. Slipped after that though, alcoholic. Shame.
Actually the situation is a little more complex than that dude, but as a Scot and a Brit, i'll forgive you. Your getting your federal dependancies mixed up with your multinational supranational entities. Still i would'nt expect you to know that.
To MexChamps: It is very confusing so I will explain: England, Scotland, Northern Ireland are countries. Wales is a principality of England. Together they form the United Kingdom which is a nation. Britain is the "big island" that contains England, Scotland and Wales. Full name: United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Geography lesson over!
Many of my favourite fighters are English. I won't go down the hilarious national stereotype argument with you, it's just too crap.
Its a nation not a country as it does not have individual sovereignty. It is one of four nations, Scotland, England, Wales and Ulster, that make up the country of Great Britain. Great Britain is what is known as a supranational entitiy. This means it is a conglomerate of, in this case, four separate territories, nations etc. All governed centrally from london under the agies of the United Kinmgdom of Great Britain. Each territory, excluding England, has its own level of autonomy and self government in the form of parliaments and national assemblies. But Central government reserves the right to overule these limited powers. Its complicated but on no account to be confused with the idea of federalism.
