Definite shout out to Jose Luis Lopez too. Had he actually trained he'd be a great. Solid chin with Trinidad like power.

I am a huge Meldrick fan....but 1 he is not underrated....and 2 he did not get robbed, he was asked a question by the ref and did not respond. I wish things had worked out differently, but Richard Steele (whom I despise as a ref) did nothing wrong.

Emmanuel Augustus, to this day I haven't seen many boxers more entertaining in the ring than Augustus. Just could never quite crack that "good journeyman" stigma eventhough he held some lesser known titles at Lightweight and Lightwelterweight.

Carmen Basilio. He is not THAT underrated but still don't get the props he IMO deserve.

I loved watching Dennis Andries.Real teak toughness and Colin Jones and Tony Sibson were always good value.Virgil Hill wasn't great box office but was a solid technician.
I think Danny Lopez is just slightly underrated, but that's not really the issue here.
And great shouts with Kalule and Kalambay.
You never hear much about Terry Marsh now,who retired as a champ undefeated.
Derrick Gainer and Orlando Canizales deserve a shout along with Laguna whose legacy was probably stunted by the arrival of Cholo.
Cervantes was a great shout too
