Who is your favourite boxing journalists?

i dont believe so. he was an old timer who had been around boxing all the way back to its golden age. he had stories about trainers as well as boxers. his stories were very well written and his style was engrossing, the man could paint a picture. i could smell the sour smell of a musty gym when he took you there. hes one of the few writers here who i think could actually write well enough to have a successful career.
its been years since hes posted an article so ive forgotten his name, which is a shame.

 

Maybe John Garfield ? That poster was also a sheer classy fella .

yes, i believe thats him, i would have to do a post history, but the name rings true.

 

unfortunately gentleman John passed a few years back and if I'm not mistaken his daughter posted on another site he frequented to thank all the guys who showed respect after his passing ,she was as classy as him .

 

my respects to his memory, he was a significant part of why i made esb my boxing home. never read a post i felt he shouldnt have made.

Nobody, they all copy most of the stuff from internet, they don't gather information like they used to.

 

Honestly, no one. Most information I come across out there is too predictable, superficial, boring and designed for casuals.

I know that a journalist with the above, is 'awoke'.

 

I used to not mind rafael but he makes too many errors in his articles now
