Who is your favourite British boxer out of those actively boxing right now?

1. Joe Calzaghe - one of the ATGs
2. Ricky Hatton - superb fighter and what a chap!
3. Amir Khan - future star in the making

David Haye is arrogant, brash, egotistical, vain..............you guys seem to like him though? I, for one, hope Wlad stands him on his head when they meet next year.

 

Presumably you prefer dull men that talk about fighting the best & being p4p for years then start fighting big names when they're past their best.

 

Current - Calzaghe. Once he retires probably Kevin Mitchell, I like his attitude and the way he fights.

Least Favourite - Froch or Haye. probably Haye. Can't deny he has balls and is good because of his willigness to fight anyone but I can't stand his cocky, arrogant attitude and I can't wait for Klitscho to smash him up.

 

I do feel like there is a lot of hypocrisy from Joe C fans. I remember being criticised for not liking Joe because I think he's a bit of a ***** but you're now doing the same thing to Haye. Haye cleaned out his division quick & is now chasing the worlds number one heavyweight. I seem to remember Joe talking a lot about fighting the pound for pound number one & being pound for pound material himself. He's now fighting Jones when he's been knocked out twice & way past his best.

 

Calzaghe isn't a ***** he's just very intraverted I know a few people who know him well and he's actually a really nice guy, just doesn't go all out to get publicity like Hatton for instance.

As for Haye I think his attitude is good for boxing, especially the Heavyweight scene and I was laughing my ass off at the escalator epsiode with Klitscho but I don't like cocky and arrogant people and he certainly is one of them so I could never support him.

 

Fair enough but it would be much better for the sport having a decent heavyweight champion.

 

That's the only plus point. No arguments about Haye the boxer, shame about his personality.

 

I can live with it because I think he genuinely wants to fight the best now, unlike your man sadly.

 

My favourite is Haye.
I still like Hatton but he really should have retired after the Floyd fight imo.

 

David Haye. He is exciting and looks to fight only the best.

Calzaghe's style is not to my taste, and he does my head in pulling stunts like fighting Jones. Still, if he fights Pavlik I will hold him in higher regard.

Hatton has an ugly style, and his personality annoys me these days.

 

Looks like Hopkins is going to ruin that one for him.

 

Very possibly, I cant see how Pavlik beats Hopkins. Still, if Hopkins does beat Pavlik, then it enhances Joe's legacy.
