I still have more respect for someone who actually fights top opposition as opposed to just talking about it.

Favourite is Calzaghe. Also like Haye, Froch and Williams.

    Neutral towards the rest.

Who wins out of Calzaghe and Froch - in your opinion?

No arguments there, just it would be nice if he kept his mouth shut & stopped disrespecting fighters that have achieved a lot more than him. He's 31 & yet to fight a world class fighter besides a shot Reid.

Calzaghe. Give it a year and I wouldn't be so confident.

I would. Froch is lazy, sloppy & relies on his power too much. Thats all well & good against the lower tier fighters he's been feasting on but step it up against someone who shows movement & variety & he'll be beaten. I'd pick Hopkins to beat him pretty convincingly as well as Taylor.

Nah, Joe is heading towards vunerable now. The reflexes are off, the speed is declining, the stamina isn't quite what it was. Still has a good jab, work-rate and ring IQ which wins him most rounds against Carl, but its getting more and more likely he walks onto something from Froch with each passing day. Anybody can get hurt.

I wouldn't be that confident in a year. I'd pick Joe, but with caution. I'd pick Kessler to beat him now.

Kessler to beat Joe? No way, I still think Mikel is too one dimensional to beat Joe. What makes you think his stamina is in decline as well? The Hopkins fight cant be a gauge for that & the previous three fights he showed no signs of gassing. He'd hammer Froch in my opinion but, as you say, anyone can be caught & a year down the line who knows?

    Who you picking for Hopkins/Pavlik?

Based on what, the Hopkins fight?

Yes, based on the Hopkins fight, and based on another year or so on the clock, where we can only expect his decline to hasten.

If Mikkel had another fight and sharpened the tools a little more, and had a perfect camp with no hand injuries he'd beat Joe, or at least make it extremely close.

Hopkins will beat Pavlik, its an easy styles pick. It will probably end up close because Pavlik will put it back down the stretch.

Do you think theres any chance Hopkins could knock Pavlik out?

If Joe fought Tocker Pudwill again tomorrow; he would look like superman again.
