I like how you are widening those goal posts to increase the odds

Dan B you make some very interesting points but like alot of people your making the mistake of comparing Duran and Hearns in Haglers reign to Oscar and Tito of Hops reign - as a boxing fan you will know that Duran and Hearns are absolutely sensational fighters wereas Oscar and Tito, with all due respect are not in they're class by a long way. I've heard arguments in the past were people compare Tito to Hearns and Oscar to Leonard, and i just shake my head and laugh, Hearns, Leonard, and Duran were smaller than Middleweights but they were true greats. How many true Middleweight greats did Hopkins beat, for many reasons he didnt or couldnt fight, Nunn, Toney, Benn, Watson, Eubank, McCallum, McClellan, Graham or Jackson and he got beat by Roy .... The facts remain that Hopkins reigned over the weakest middleweight division in history, he would never beat the 'Big 2' of the last 40 years, Hagler and Monzon. I back Pavlik to beat Hopkins because Hopkins cannot fight for 12 rounds, he doesnt put any combinations together and Pavlik is a far better fighter than Joppy, Holmes and Robert Allen .. Hopkins should go down as an ultra-effective champion in a very weak division, same as Joe .....

To be honest, I like all the guys on that list - most of them provide great entertainment. The likes of Williams, Haye and Khan never fail to disappoint. Williams could go either way - brilliant one minute, dreadful the next.. Haye is simply the most exciting British fighter since Benn probably. Calzaghe's a long time favourite. Khan is on the verge of KO-ing and being KO'd at the same time so that's always fun. Hatton and Witter should fight each other but it won't happen (at least until it's irrelevent).

Froch has frustrated me a bit - he's the wrong side of 30 now and has still done bugger all... The Inkin fight wasn't really his fault but he's moving a bit too slowly - needs a big test.

    I'd tune in for Macca's fights because he's Welsh(ish).

Alex Arthur - wouldn't go out of my way to see him fight.

I always enjoy watching Bradley Pryce fight too.

You wish I was your ***** sweetheart.;)

Yes but you're making the mistake of assuming I rate Hopkins as highly as Hagler & Monzon, which I don't. I think you could corrolate De La Hoya & Trinidad as equal opposition for Hopkins as Leonard & Hearns were for Hagler. It dissapoints me the way the magnitude of Hopkins' victory over Trinidad is played down though, he was considered a boxing demi-god by many at that time.

Witter....plus any undercard fighter who is prepared to lace up a pair of gloves for my entertainment, and for very little reward.

I think Witter is very good - but to be honest I cannot stand him. He is arrogant and also boring in the ring.

He has a decent beard, but is ridiculously defensive - even in the Bradley fight when it was clear to all that he was losing he hardly opened up.

Do you like Witter because he is a Yorkie, or do you like him anyway?

Fact of the matter (literally out of the horses mouth) Witter was extremely weight drained for the Bradley fight, and for a couple of fights prior to that...he also had other problems outside of the ring that wouldn't have helped him in it.

I've followed him for years...just like Donny Rovers, you don't dump a favourite when they are on the slip, or jump on board when they are on the rise. :good

As for the Yorkie thing, I can't stand Johnny Nelson

I know the feeling about that....

I understand there were personal problems which can't help - I knew that losing the last couple of lbs was hard but didn't know he was suffering that much, though I know he likes his chocolate!

To be fair you totally outclassed us in the final - our midfield was outgunned from the first whistle to the last. It is our biggest weakness, one which Gary Mc really needs to sort.
