So if Tarver wins the rematch, he is the man? I thought all were saying he is old and finished? Even if he got lucky and got Dawson out of there, he still would not be the man at 175.

As i see it, its vacant. hopkins lost to calzaghe, who retired. hopkins then fought the middleweight champion, who was unproven at the weight.
dawson will take my number 1 spot if he beats tarver again, who is the master of the rematch, the only thing making this fight interesting.

the winner of dawson-hopkins [if it ever happens] would in my opinion be the recognised champ.

    Erdei :deal ......... :|:dead

we know Erdei is not after the challenges but is there any one case that other belt holder
or one of the famous Ring champions coming from the bantamweight just called Erdei
out and offeered him 100 bucks for fight?

    Erdei

And the answer is either Erdei or nobody. I don't see how you could possibly call Hops or Dawson 'the man' at 175. Even if you believe the Ring Mag lineage (and I don't), then Hopkins lost to Calzaghe, who retired, and a new champ would need to be made in the ring by having #1 fight #2.
