Who killed Sonny Liston???

People never get tired of conspiracy theories. It was an open and shut case, or else someone would have been charged or investigated. Do yo think anyone on ESB knows more then the people who looked at the evidence to start with. Just one more case of people always trying to throw conspiracies in whenever someone dies. Its tired crap.

 

Maybe the mob as I always hear about them being brought up once a conversation about Liston's death occurs but he was treated like crap the majority of his life and really didn't have any close friends. Of course he was married though.

A lot of fighters messes with dope. Sonny was friendly with mob guys. Frankie Carbo and he were friends. Sonny was not a rat and never spoke about what happened in the Ali fight. What was done was done. Sonny had no fear for the Nation of Islam. There were a group close to Ali out of Newark Black Muslims that were drug dealers and under the eye of law enforcement Jerimiah Shabbez and the group.

I think the fact that Sonny died with drug use kind of left Sonnys secret out of the bag and his secret was casual drug use.

Thats why he hauled ass out of the arena of the Ali rematch when rumors about the brotherhood were circulating regarding the fight, right?

Wasn't Liston one of the many who gave evidence at an inquest into mob involvement in boxing shortly before his death?

I always thought this was the main conspiracy theory?

He pointed the finger at some of the mobsters he had previously been involved with.

Also apparently Liston's wife maintained he hadn't touched drugs for years at the time he died. She was away visiting her sister when it happened.

Perhaps he decided to have a cheeky bit of scagg while she was away and overdosed after having been dry for so long?

Perhaps the mob turned up to do it for him?!

 

Liston probably just had a heart attack. I dont know if the heroin killed him. One report says he had his pants around his ankles when he died. Maybe he had a hooker in there or he was masturbating.
He was older than his official 38 years of age. And i dont think his diet and lifestyle stacked up to much, and he'd had a hard life. He may have been a professional athlete but if you're not training for years and you've been eating all that red meat and soul food and drinking whiskey, smoking cigars, nevermind the other drugs, the heart might just pack up one day. when you're ****ing or wanking.
