The flaw of the question lies in its ambiguity.

With no mention of weight classes. One fighter weighs 147lbs, so the reader naturally keys in on that number and assumes the fight to be set at the welterweight limit.

If the intention of the inquisitor is that the fight be set at WW, then my answer stands. As long as the opponent weighs under the WW limit, weight differential doesn't really matter. He can weigh 141 lbs or 121lbs.

See where I'm going with this? You can't expect someone to answer a question correctly if you don't express it properly...

    that is false.

its a simple friggin' question. A guy weighs 147 lbs. Whats the minimum and maximum weight allowed for an opponent for that fight to be approved.

  12. Whoo-hoo I got it right!!! I met Lou Nova numerous times in California...very quick wit, walking boxing encyclopedia. He was the one who taught me about weird cutmen secrets, like snorting pickle juice to cure nosebleeds, use vodka/ whiskey to clean cuts (not neccesarily just for boxing). May he Rest in Peace

    Good one. :good

Totally zoned out on the last hint that Orriray gave, but honestly, likely wouldn't have gotten that one right without doing some serious research.

I see most people cannot answer number one. If one fighter weighs 147 the other fighter could weight almost anything. the 147 could be fighting at HW and therefore he could be fighting someone 300lbs or 100lbs. I think the rest of the answers have been answer by someone earlier . . . good thread though
