Maybe it's not Pacquaio who should have been suspected and watched for drug/steroid use, it's Margarito who looks like he is a genuine fraud who should have been watched. All fights after Paul Williams up to Cotto fight, especially that one.


During the undercard bouts rumors were flying about a suspicious bottle found in Margarito’s dressing room.
“This is what I was told,” Arum said. “Margarito was preparing to take a drink with a substance … Ephedra. We had people from each camp in the other camp’s dressing room and the Pacquiao camp protested, words were exchanged, we called for the [Texas Boxing] commission. [Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Executive Director] Bill Kuntz came in, quieted everything down and told Margarito that he wasn’t allowed to take the drink. So he didn’t … it was handled in the proper manner,” Arum said.
When asked what happened to the bottle Arum said he was told it was thrown in the trash and that the substance did not get put into the bottle in the first place.
