I feel sorry that you don't get hyped about the entrances, because in big fights, honestly it's one of the most scintillating moments. I try to put myself in the fighter's shoes, dealing with the nerves, anticipation and the crowd.

the annoying part was haye making lennox wait and then basically walking straight passed him when he finally came out, lennox stood there like some bouncer waiting.

    Dear Friends
    kind regards
Thank you all for your responses.
The ring entrances were so well done that it got me into the hype, it is amazing how spectacle captures the imagination.
I suppose that it took me back to stage performing as I think live theatre is tremendous.
I can't ever remember the WWF having a backstage set for its wrestlers so this event went even beyond wrestling.
It is a shame that the entrances were soon to be bloated by the actual performance of both men.
    yours thankfully
    John

I was glad to see something creative for a fight that was hyped as much as this fight was.

I didn't. They were cheesy as **** (Vitali surprisingly being the one reading the newspaper and having Foreman sitting next to him) and made me cringe to death. Haye delaying his walk-in didn't do me any favors either.

I thought it was appalling that Haye had to run a gauntlet to get to the ring and begs the question is Germany really ready for big fights?

In England the away fighter will always get to the ring without being manhandled but we do boxing better than the Germans as they are so new at it what with adopting fighters from the Eastern bloc as their own.

I was in the stadium and but for the Brits the whole event would have died on its ass like most Klit fights do.

The Germans I spoke to after the fight couldn`t believe the atmosphere created by the Brits for what to them was "just" a boxing match.

I don't care for the elaborate entrances. Some of them are sort of cool, but really I just want to get to the boxing.
While I'm at it, I wish they would scrap the national anthems too. Or at least just do them at the beginning of the event instead of before the main fight. With the anthem, not only is there a delay, but also seeing as the fighters can't stand still for them (risk of cooling down), it just seems out of place.

they were mad cheesy, not enough G's in their entourage and corny effects, Adrien The Problem Broner doesn't need any of that effect bull**** to have electric ring entrances and pre fight hype, the man is living entertainment, a walking event win. His next ring entrance will be epic, if they cut if off the broadcast again like they did vs Litzau I feel very sorry for his next opponent, he KO'd Litzau in 1 he was so angry last time, if this happens twice in a row we're liable to see a murder in the ring.

It was cool. You're thinking, at first, that the action is just pre recorded but then you realize its live. They were the right length too, but Haye totally ruined it by having his hissy fit again. Fireworks were great.
