who looked better agains takam ? povetkin or joshua ?

It's hard to say. Povetkin/Takam was neck and neck on all scorecards after the eighth indicating Povetkin struggled to suss Takam out whereas Joshua maybe lost a maximum of three rounds if you're being generous.

But Povetkin's stoppage was ... you know ... an actual stoppage.

I'll say Povetkin, because Joshua's size and reach was probably the biggest factor in him winning most rounds whereas Povetkin actually had to adapt and figure out a puzzle against a guy who was similar in stature. I think they both looked better than Parker did though, whom Takam clearly took 4-5 rounds off of.

 

At least Povetkin didn't need a bent referee.

 

Povetkin and Joshua are obviously totally different styles/physiques etc but I thought both AJ and Povetkin where dominant overall in their respective fights, only difference is Povetkin got a brutal KO and not an Eddie Hearn sponsored referee stoppage.

Nobody gets an easy night with Takam.

 

Povetkin looked better. This took a little bit out of Takam. He wasn’t the same fighter after being starched like that.

I think that Joshua may have looked a bit better overall, but the takam that he fought was worse than the one Pov fought. And of course, Sasha got the legit stoppage. AJ didn't look like he was stopping Carlos without the ref.

 

Why are we comparing Povetkin to Joshua as if there's some kind of buildup to this fight? Povetkin will never pass a drug test to fight the big names in the sport so there's no reason to even discuss this.

 

Hard to say. Povetkin's PEDs probably made a difference. I can't remember if he tested positive for this particular fight. I think Povetkin minus the PEDs is the same Povetkin who needed a charity lift over Marco Huck. Povetkin without PEDs and close to forty years of age has no realistic chance to do anything of significance.

Povetkin had to go to war with takam to get the win. Aj beat the **** out of takam with zero damage received, ya know the most important aspect of the fight.

Aj beat takam in such a mismatch fashion the ref had to save takam from himself. If the fight was even a tiny tiny tiny bit competitive the ref would've let Aj complete his domination by letting it go that whole few to possibly all the way up to 10 entire seconds longer.

The ref was going to stop it no matter what, it was too much of a mismatch with one fighter taking 100% of the damage.

Takam has never taken such brutal shots...He could no longer defend himself. And we have little people trying to troll povetkin killing himself just to get the win as a better performance.

The question was better performance, better fight. Aj getting trolled because he did what povetkin did without getting touched, besides one intentional head butt. If takam wasn't making sure the ref saw how bad his eyes were messed up.

He was begging for the fight to be stopped by the 4th rounds. Having to be asked to get off his stool. Having the Dr check him out 4,5x.

You meatballs complaining at the only of the 3 that showed up and preformed his job perfectly.
