Wrong again. By every sane fans opinion the fury wlad fight was competitively terrible. Fury looked almost a bad as wlad.

I've laid out for pre school kids to understand the reason behind wlad being unfit to fight. Even with that, fury barely squeaked by.

If fury pummeled him into submission, practically asking the ref to convince the dr to stop it, then making they ref have to save him from further punishment, that would be similar.

    Understand the drastic difference ?
Everything with fury seems to be IF

    Sometimes you make great posts.

And sometimes you post stuff like this.

It's possible to support AJ without actually living in his underpants ;)

Povetkin looked much better than Joshua, was more accurate and actually knocked Takam out! Joshua could not knock Takam out, Joshua had to count on a corrupt referee to stop the fight for no reason. Takam was coming on when the damned criminal referee stepped in and stopped the fight for no reason. Povetkin did not have to count on a corrupt referee to stop the fight................Povetkin was cleared by VADA after making a mistake, but the WBC had to Protect Wilder to keep Povetkin from knocking him out! It appears that Wilder had Povetkin framed as well as framing Ortiz because they were a real threat to Wilder! None of Wilder's winos from the alley was framed! There was reason for such. Sconiers and Nichols knocked Wilder down! Ortiz did not take a PED! It was blood pressure medicine!

Define better, it might come down to your opinion. Povetkin got the cleaner stoppage, but he paid a price for that. He had to put more pressure on Takam to break him down and force the stoppage but was rocked a number of times unlike Joshua.

If you value the KO over the scorecards then you'll favour Povetkin. Even if Povetkin had lost every round until the KO you'd still likely prefer his more definitive ending.

I personally thought Joshua did better. He barely lost a round, was never rocked like Povetkin, had dropped Takam and was finishing the fight strongly before the ref robbed us of a more definitive ending.

Boxing is the art of getting hit without getting hit. Povetkin landed more but took a lot more too, while Joshua landed with a better ratio, he took far less but was able to land quite a lot as well.

Joshua seemed to be playing it a little safe and holding back a little in this fight, I think he was trying to pace him self and also not punch himself out like he did against wlad. I think that was a lesson he learned in the wlad fight and thus paced him self more conservatively against takam, i think next time he will have found an even better balance and would press the action more. learning to pace your self over 12 rounds can take a long time.

Povetkin got the legit stoppage and had better accuracy for sure. But AJ won way more rounds too. But that said, he was blowing big time in the 10th so had the fight rightfully continued it's hard to know what those last rounds look like. I guess Poevtkin got the slightly fresher Takam too and with a proper camp (depending on how much training you consider Takam really done in the build up to the AJ fight).

    I don't know, it's a bit Apples and Oranges.

Povetkin didn't need a corrupt referee to give him breaks when he got tired, he also didn't need a gift stoppage.

What is really sad is that Povetkin never officially failed a single drug test yet they lie and claim he did.

Povetkin is the guy who knocked him out and gave him a camp, not Femi.
