Brook appeared more affective being heavier. Khan still looked fast with the extra weight as well. Lets not forget , Canelo was getting outboxed himself before he caught up to Khan and forced him to take a nap. But my pick is for Brook.
Brook looked way more comfortable/suited to the extra weight though I think he still should go down a class - he'd be a weapon at 154, I suspect.
Good question, I think Khan may have over-worked himself in the gym, causing him some stamina / concentration problems. I know Khan tried all sorts of different muscle building training techniques in training for Canelo whereas Kell seemed more relaxed in the buildup. So Khan may have over trained a bit for Canelo while Brook may have undertrained a bit for Golvokin. Brook is a more natural fighter than Khan, Khan uses a lot more lateral motion and generally has a more high intensity fighting style than Brook. Though it certainly didn't appear that Khan lost any of his speed, he certainly wasn't sluggish in there. Khan seemed like his usual self in there vs Canelo, only maybe he gassed a little quicker. I think the important thing to note is that neither guy really seemed like a different fighter at MW than they were at WW. I genuinely believe that both guys had a good training camp and had an easier time making MW than having to struggle to make 147. I'd say both guys looked good heavier, and I don't think you can make an argument that they looked a different fighter at the weight or anything. If I'd have to pick one, I'd say Khan looked better for the simple fact that he won many of the early rounds vs Canelo decisively, seemed to have a real gameplan, while Brook didn't look quite as sharp in there in the first round. Khan seemed to have more energy early on vs Canelo and seemed more prepared than Brook was vs GG, but then again we know Kell is more relaxed and a more natural / standard boxer puncher than Khan is. I don't think there's a wrong answer here. I'd say Khan looked better heavier, at least early on before he gassed in the middle rounds, but lets be real, both guys did well moving up to MW.
Pure nut job GGG cum guzzling. Khan won every round and lasted longer and his corner wasn't scared for his life Canelo would destroy Brook as well but he wouldn't have a huge speed disadvantage so he would do it much quicker and without losing rounds. There is only 1 answer and that is Khan
Brook looked big to me. And strong. He even looked bigger than Golovkin at times. However, it looked like he was big because of muscle, not because of bone structure (like Golovkin does). And not having the bone structure of a MW is a big problem.
Khan was KTFO by a journeyman lightweight. Brooks was undefeated and was a HUGE WW. If Brooks fought in the 80's he would be a middleweight. Brooks would take Canelo the full 12 and could win the Dec.
