Who made a bigger impact on the sport of boxing....Floyd Mayweather Jr or Mike Tyson?

you're all confusing popularity with impact...... Tyson is one of the most famous athletes ever and way bigger than Mayweather, he was boxing and still is to many people. He's also far more exciting and you might even rank him higher as an ATG than Mayweather but in terms of changing the sport Mayweathers drug testing will be a major thing cause it'll be mandatory in no time also the way he got his free agent status and controlled his own career toward the end will be a lot more common in the future and he'll be a pioneer with that too.

I get what yall are saying and agree Mike Tyson is way more popular though, my whole block looked like a ghost town when a Tyson fight was on

Tyson, the heavyweight division is the most prestigious of all boxing divisions. Besides that, Tyson transcended boxing (maybe for some of the wrong reasons) in a way Mayweather hasn't and probably never will. But to Mayweather's credit, I think he's a lot more accomplished than Tyson ever was.
