I would say Mike tyson obviously due to popularity, there will never be a fighter as popular as Mike was. This guy is and was known all over the world, he had games based on his dominance. All over the tv in commercials... it would be impossible to duplicate that. He brought many people into boxing all around the world, even to the extent that you have some eastern euro fighters with nicknames like "The white tyson". He pretty much keep boxing alive when Ali faded away into retirement and the Fab four diminished...

With that said, Mayweather is doing some changes in the sport, like his testing thing, strict testing will soon become mandatory, blood and urine. He has introduced or to the very least made popular shows like 24/7, which showtimes 360 was molded after. I guess he is bringing things such as these which go into the life of the boxer.
