who made more money in their boxing career, evander holyfield or floyd mayweather?

WHen you can generate 50 million dollars in a year. you can earn enough interest from your money to buy enough bling to fill a Wal Mart, and feed 2 or 3 kids.

 

Holyfield of course. Two fights with Tyson, Lewis and three with Bowe and those are mega HEAVYWEIGHT fights and you know that Heavyweights make great amount of money.

 

Mayweather'd have to fight as long as Holyfield to rival his coffers. Of course, when FMJ is 50, Evander could still be active, so who knows. :yep

 

Holyfield may have MADE more, but Mayweather will MAKE more. He could make just as much money on fighting Cotto next as he did with Hatton! Not if he just fights him in June or May, something like that.. but if they build it up, make it juicy! Maybe Cotto could fight Hatton, and knock him out and call out Floyd. Or fight Oscar and call out Floyd, etc etc.

Of course I think both those fights are terrible fights for actual fans - but in terms of making money, Floyd has SOOO many potential big fights.

Oh, and Holyfield pays MASSIVE child maintenance and alimony every damn month. It was hard for me to fathom at first, but Holyfield could actually still be fighting just for the money.
