Who tried to MAKE the fight? Who actually walked forward trying to make the fight? I have heard a few people claim that Froch did nothing in this fight. That he didn't try anything. To claims that Dirrell fought negatively, they reply that Froch also didn't do anything and also didn't try to make the fight. Discuss.
It doesn't matter.... Lumbering forward to brawl doesn't win a boxing match... landing punches does... ESB is full of dumbass motherfuks now I swear..
Neither of them in truth. That's why it was a poor spectacle. Dirrell didn't fight enough and when he did he was impressive and the better man. Froch didn't do ANYTHING of note.
If you call plodding forward while getting stuck in the face all night trying to make a fight. . . well hell, Crotch deserves a damn medal then
**** thread. Neither did much. Dirrell was landing clean punches but got ridiculous at times with that leaning over garbage and willingly hopping on the canvas, and Froch was afraid to throw punches because he knew he would get countered. There were too many times in the fight where Dirrell willingly backed onto the turnbuckle and Froch just stood there staring at him because he didn't want to let his hands go.
Both, dirrell showed his style of a pure boxer, and froch showed his style as a swarmer......but for some reason it made an ugly fight...usually these fights are a thing of beauty...
This is not about who won. It is only about whether Froch or Dirrell tried to make the fight. (No one is arguing whether walking forward in itself wins a fight).
Walking forwards isn't neccessarily making a fight either. You have to look like connecting to make a fight otherwise you may as well shadowbox. No fight was made for long periods because of both these fighter shortcomings.
If one fighter goes forward the fight WILL happen if the other one goes forward as well or at least stands. IF the other runs, there may still not be any fight happening.
