Who made the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight happen?

I chose FMj. Moonves has no doubt had a big hand in it but its a big mixture of things, mainly Pacquiao showing faint sounds of fading, the fact Pacquiao is about ready to retire, plenty of pressure from Moonves, fans, media etc etc.

But Floyd has been waiting for this time, he was never guna duck forever, hed never turn his back on such stupid amounts of money, not even at risk of his 0 loss record but he loves that record so had to hang on until his gut feeling was this fight was pretty much winnable in his favour.

So in short even though i think allsorts of reasons got us here it was Floyds willingness that has finally made it happen.

 

Floyd. if pacquaio had of agreed to these same terms 5 years ago it would have happened then. Floyd had to chase pac to his hotel room before he finally stopped ducking

Willingness and pressured/forced are 2 different things.

If people blamed Floyd for the fight not happening before, then it's only logical that he is the reason the fight is happening now.

 

Pac did not agree to leave Arum.

Pac did not agree with the $40M purse with no ppv shares.

ofcourse it goes without saying pac and arum wanted the fight but moonves was the one who in the end forced his hand...............

 

idk how people say Floyd got forced to fight. Theres not cut off date for testing, he got 60%, he chose the fight date etc rtc. the fight happened because Pac finally decided to speak out instead of saying talk to my promoter and he gave in to Floyds demands. so Floyd signed because he got what he wanted not because he was forced.

 

Money is the only answer....

 

Moonves will go down in history as making this fight happen once it's all said and done. He deserves so much credit. W/o him, this never would have happened.

HOWEVER... Les Moonves and Bob Arum hated each other before negotiations started. Freddie Roach set up a secret meeting that had them settle things and be friends again. Without Freddie setting up this meeting, Moonves and Arum are still on bad terms.


So.... maybe Freddie Roach is the true catalyst that got this fight done??! hahaha
