Self-explanatory. A 'why' statement is also nice to have.

I voted for Winky, because I think he'll shine against a Macklin that will keep on coming forward... Winky to dodge a lot of power punches, tag Macklin with the jab all night long. Wide UD.

Kessler & Dirrell's chances are relatively slim given the nature of their injuries and the competition @ 168. Unless Dirrell steps up to 175 where his speed and movement would be killer.

If Floyd comes back this year, it won't be against Pac. Too much **** in the way.

Kirkland is too hittable. He hits like a train, but lacks defensive skills in a division where he could face the likes of Angulo, Cotto, Cintron, Foreman.. even Lara would destroy him at this point.

Pavlik I reckon is coming back at SMW... LHW is possible, but I think he'd look slooow throwing punches compared to say the aggressive lead rights he could throw at MW. Power would be lacking a little too. And 168 is so hot.. unless he lures Sartison or Stieglitz into a fight in America, I don't think he wins a belt.

Does Paul Williams count? I think so. His exciting style put him in a bad spot against Martinez, and he paid the high price in the second fight. It'll take a long time and several adjustments to his approach for PWill to come back raging at 100%. Love watching him fight, but he's gotta regain confidence before mixing it up with the best at 160 again... don't believe he's going back down to 154.

El Terrible could face Marquez in a FOTY candidate, that's the only reason I put him down. Not sure if it'll happen, apparently the money wasn't good enough for JMM the first time around.

Audley Harrison will re-gain the European title and defeat vitali klitschko by the end of 2011, the dream isn't over, it's his destiny to become world heavyweight champ

I should have included Jermain Taylor. He's shot to death, but he could come back for a decent paycheck.

I think Paul is going to be eased back into fighting this year so I don't think him because of that. I would say Floyd since I think he'll fight Pacquiao or another big name and my second choice is Dirrell

yeah I see it happening in November. I hope he fights before then though. His trial is in a few days and I think he can get a fight planned after that

I think it'll be Juan Diaz but out of the choices I decided on James Kirkland.

Kirkland. His rise to the top has only stalled. This year he'll be champion.

Floyd might fight Cotto before Pacquiao late this year.

I do not think beating Macklin amounts to a "great comeback." And I do not think Winky has enough left in the old gas tank to do anything to top that.

I'm really not sure we will ever see Kessler or Dirrell in the ring again.

I agree with your assesment of Kirkland.

I really have no idea what to think about Williams right now.

    Agree on PBF.

People seem to ignore the fact that, with the exception of Kessler and Johnson, every top guy at 168 made his name beating Pavlik's left overs, or fighters who were not as good as Pavlik's left overs. Those guys did not get better just because they joined a tournament.

I won't be surprised if Pavlik ****s around, gets drunk, and falls off the map. However, I will not be one bit surprised if he does just the opposite, and mounts one of the most talked about comebacks in recent history.

I think Winky can work his way up to a title shot if he beats Macklin, I really do. Whether he has a chance in that title shot will depend on which champ he aims at. I think he beats a guy like Sylvester, completely outskill him actually. Zbik will be too caught up to fight Winky, Pirog could finish Winky real bad and Sturm's style & physical abilities make it too hard of a fight for Winky to win. He said he wanted to fight Martinez, but Maravilla is all wrong for him because of the difference in speed AND power.

I think Pavlik has more than the necessary potential to make a good comeback. Results will obviously depend on opposition and seriousness @ training camps... he's a warrior, the hunger doesn't disappear easily. I see him fighting a top 5 SMW late in the year. Good luck to him.

Just curious, if Lemieux KO's Rubio in 5, are you gonna say 22 yr old David feasted on a Pavlik leftover? No pun intended. :D

I have never seen Rubio fight like he did against Pavlik. He spent much of the fight in survival mode, and that is not normal for Rubio. For David's sake I hope to see the best possible version of Rubio show up. That would be a nice win. I'll take a wait and see position.

It'll be interesting to see how biased my card and/or all-around judgment of the fight will be as I'll be in attendance and comparing with ESB the next day. Huge, huge ambiance at the Bell Centre. When David lands hard, it's as loud as when Plekanec gets a breakaway.
