I did. The sport is better off with it's most talented and popular fighter around. Two of the biggest fights that can be made in boxing involve Mayweather. One of those fights will be happening in a few weeks. Even when Mayweather was "retired" many people kept saying he needed to come back to fight this guy or that guy. Floyd was clearly missed by the general boxing public. That can't be denied.

I can say with honesty that I didnt and even defended his career to his detractors. But felt foolish when he came back to take on a guy that was 2 weightclasses below him.

Just think when he was gone, all of this craziness with this steroid bull**** wasn't happening. He's good for the sport in that he sells tickets, but he's bad in every other way.

It's hard to miss a guy when no one really believed he was retired in the first place.

I didnt, when he was retired people where actually talking about what was going on in the ring while when he came back he brought the reality show fans with him, idiots that are more excited with what he does outside of the ring than inside of it.

Why would anybody NOT want Floyd Maywather back? Anyone who says they didn't mind the sport without Mayweather Jr. is lying to themselves or delusional. Floyd is by far, without question the biggest draw in boxing. EVERY megafight worth talking about involves Floyd. Floyd/Shane, Floyd/Manny, Floyd/Paul, on and on. Get real, fellas. TS is such a Mayweather-hater.

I'm with you on this one bro...Never liked the guy...too classless for my liking..but as a fighter..I can't say I'm not glad to see him fight again...the kid has undeniable talent...may not be everybody's cup of coffee, but as a pure boxer, not too many have been better that Floyd Mayweather...and it pains me to admit it..Phyiscally and technically gifted to the max...

But I still hate thrashy ass.

******ed thread by a ******ed thread starter. How the **** can you criticisize someone who attracts many fans and casual fans to the sport? PPV numbers show that clearly he is a big attraction and he is giving us the biggest fight of 2010 so far. What would we rather a Cotto/Mosley rematch? Would we rather a Mosley/Berto fight?

People missed him period, fans missed seeing him do what he does best, and haters missed being able to watch a fight hoping that he got KTFO. If he gets destroyed by Mosley, what hater will say they wished he never came back?
