who moves up better, pep or saddler?

I've been pondering this for the last few days.

The problem is Pep has a style reliant on being the quicker man which he will be, but he'll have to work twice as hard to stay away out point a bigger foe.

Saddler is one of the few great inside fighters who is the bigger man, at LW he won't be the bigger man.

Neither have a particularly great chance of success in the LW division but Pep in his prime has the best chance. It will be tough for him but if he's in peak shape he can pull it off. Saddler will always struggle.

 

I have seen both Willie Pep [pre near fatal plane accident] and Sandy Saddler ringside a few times. Both great featherweights. It is little known that Sandy Saddler was beaten by several fighters that Willie Pep beat in his career. Both great fighters but because of style I put my dough on the featherweight version of Henry Armstrong to
overwhelm both Willie and Sandy. Pep could not hold of the inhuman threshing machine that was Armstrong for too long, and Sandy Saddler was fairly easy to hit and Henry would have a field day with Saddler..I am accused of loving the "oldtime" fighters. But one of my fantasy fights would be Sandy Saddler against my man Alexis Arguello
15 rounds. What a war that would be. WOW. My moolah is on Arguello
because Saddler though tough and rugged was easy to hit, and anyone
Arguello can tee off on he ko's...
