Thought about Mosley. i dont think its going to be well regarded with the passage of time. he was far too old, and looked too bad in there. people will focus on that.
once again, i said mosley was far too old and looked too bad. this has nothing to do with his HOF status. the same way pacs victory over DLH isnt as great as the name suggests, the Mosley fight is the same type of situation.
It was only a year ago that he destroyed the Margacheato. Mosley looked like crap compared to that fight because he was in there with a defense fighter. Mosley is coming back later this year. The truth will set you free.
Lol @ the arguing over the merit of Pac's and Mayweather's victories Pac is 5-1-1(3KOs) over MAB, EM and JMM.. He will get the same credit Ray Leonard is afforded for having a similar record vs the Fab Four, even if he didn't beat them all convincingly. Pac also has his KO over Oscar at welter (his first fight above 135) and that murderous thumping of Hatton and stoppage of Cotto. To say he only has 3 noteworthy wins is an absolute joke
but before margarito he hadnt looked good for like 4 years? u cant be looking good for 1 fight in several years, and then looking gassed after round 2/3 of the next fight, and then claim to be the fighter u once were. plus i didnt say mosley looked like crap skill wise. i commented PURELY on his stamina and conditioning, nothing else.
Mosley didn't gas when he fought Margacheato. Anyways, there's moar than one way to go about this. If Floyd througholy dominates his next opponent like he did Mosley, then Mosley has to be on that list. Having Mosley who just raped Margacheato on your resume is better than a traumatized Cotto who just came off a controversial decision against The Great Ghana Joshua Clottey. Looks like you have your work cut out for you. :good
?? With that logic you can also say Hector camacho > Hearns because he walked all over ATGs Leonard and Duran
no cause tahts your opinion, and i care for the general boxing public's consensus opinion. they are with me. but you're right. it will come down to how mosley looks in his next fight, and then who hes fighting against. if he looks good, that helps floyd. im pretty sure he wont tho, he really looks shot to pieces. same with cotto. the difference is cotto will look good in the future and u know it. that will help pac.
What are you talking about? That sounds like your own logic. Cotto is shot just like Mosley, but Cotto will look good unlike Mosley.atsch
The fact that mosley's a HOFer doesn't account for anything if his accomplishments got him there happened over half a decade ago.
when i said 'same as cotto' i meant the situation is the same. if cotto looks good in future, that will reflect well on pacquiao. the same way if mosley looks good in future, it wil reflect well on floyd. the other point i made was that cotto will look good and secure another title in another weight division, and i suspect mosley will be looking shot. btw, its my opinion that cotto isnt at all past it. i think hes in or around peak and Manny will improve his game, making him look even better. but we'll see.
Nope, Mosley looked impressive in his last fight prior Floyd. Cotto didn't when he fought The Great Ghana Joshua Clottey. Mosley shocking the world again at 37 by beating a guy he was heavily an underdog against is hall of fame type of material.
youre being selective and not looking past 1 fight to mosley over the last 5 years. u may analyse things that way and its totally cool, but dont expect boxing experts and fans to do the same.
