If Martinez loses I don't think anyone will give a damn about him till he gets a streak of wins against decent opposition. This is his second and possibly last big shot till he scores something better later and there aren't enough big names in the division to allow that.

If Pavlik loses he'll get a lot of criticism but can eventually make people forget that due to size by moving up and fighting any of the MANY big names at Super middleweight, that will still gain a lot of attention.

Pavlik can still have other options whether he wins or loses, Martinez doesn't have enough with the middleweight division being poor and Jr. middle being poor as well with only a rematch with Paul Williams being available if they can get that.

 

Martinez is being overrated. Pavlik should have an easy fight here.

For sure Pavlik , Martinez is in a great position in that he is seen as @154 lb'er and on paper shouldnt win the fight when the reality is , is that he has a stylistic edge on Pavlik !!!!!!
