After a very impressive performance the other day, who next for Gary?
He's come on leaps and bounds in the last 12-18 months.

Looks like Hatton wants to make Buckland/Foster Jr, It's a good fight, but Buckland more than likely batters him, Fegatalli for the EBU title would be good.

Can't see anyone on the Euro scene overly being a problem, he's improved out of sight.

Fegatilli would be a good fight. I think Buckland would beat him quite comfortably. There are purse bids going out for Fegatilli to fight Boschiero according to the EBU website though.

Off topic, but there's some other interesting fights on there.

Kiko Martinez is talks with Bakhtin.
Lee Selby in talks with the feather champion.

Best of all though, check out the new background music on their website: http://www.boxebu.com

Like watching him fight. It wont happen but him V Ben Murphy (again) would be a tear-up!

What level do people think he can get too?

Yeah, Boschiero is a very decent fighter, gave the Jap champion (forget his name) a good fight, he beats Fegatilli IMO.

EBU music :rofl

He's definitely up there with the best in Europe, if he keeps improving at this rate, he can give a few world level fighters problems, we'll wait and see, but should get a european title atleast.

I think his lack of power will restrict him, just like it restricted John Murray. It's a good, entertaining style but without any sort of power, that style isn't going to be enough to win world titles or even compete with the best in the world. Rios has a similar style and whilst he isn't a massively hard puncher either, he has enough to wear down tough, world class opponents. The power Buckland and Murray have is enough to wear down British or European level fighters but that's about as far as their power can take them.

What Buckland needs is to try and improve his punching power. I think he could do that with some modifications to his technique and training. He could win the European title right now but if he has even higher hopes, there needs to be changes because no matter how good he is, someone who is feather fisted with that style is not going to do anything at world level.

He's not going to be a top notch world level fighter no matter what. Theres a ceiling on everyone's talent, no point worrying about that.

If they cherrypick a really weak guy at some point that's a pretender, it could happen that he picks up a belt but that's the same for many Euro level fighters. Otherwise he's a Euro level fighter, as is John Murray who comfortably beat him lets not forget.

I agree with this, but you could have put it a bit nicer.

I like the guy, I always like an improver :good

Entertaining and a very good fighter, just lacking that something special across the board to allow him to compete at the top level. Interestingly, I think he might have a better career than John Murray though.

I think he should fight Liam Walsh or Paul Appleby next. I think both will beat Buckland, 3 very similar fighter also throw in Foster jnr, Sykes, Lindsay and up and coming prospect Ronnie Clark I think the superfeatherweight division in the uk is very very strong have all these guys fighting each other then they can move on to the bigger fights when they are ready

Fegatilli next IMO, He can earn good money with EBU title develop some more and then earn a world title shot. He's a good fighter who will take some beating.

Buckland would destroy Paul Appleby, Appleby's coming off a gift decision to Ormond and a beating off Walsh and Laryea.
