Here are the most recent WBO super-feather rankings:

    TitleNameCountryChampROMAN MARTINEZPR 1Ricky BurnsGB2Terdsak Jandaeng (Oriental)THAI3Eloy Perez (NABO)USA4Leva KirakosyanARM5Ji-Hoon KimSK6Sergey GulyakevichBEL7Rey Labao (Asia-Pacific)PHI8Vicente M. RodriguezARG9Urbano AntillonMEX10Jason LitzauUSA11Santos BenavidesNIC12Emmanuel Tagoe (WBO Africa)GHA13Alisher Rahimov UZB14Fernando D. SaucedoARG15Allan Tanada (Asia-Pacific Youth)PHI

Some are suggesting Leva Kirakosyan. If I were the matchmaker I don't think I'd be too keen on that one! Hardly an easy defence, is it??

Is this not a hatton card? If so hatton may have options on the winner... so that's a nono

I would go for either Jason Litzau or Gamaliel Diaz. Both are proven experienced fighters at world level but have their flaws, it would be a good acid test for where Burns rates at the weight as those two guys (especially Diaz) have faced the A-Z of top tier 126 and 130 lbers. But we will probably get Petr Petrov knowing Frank.

I think an easy defence for easy money is fair given it will be before the year is out.

I'd be quite happy to see him in an easier defence, someone like foster should he win or even nicky cook. next year though, id like him in with tajbert. he's tough but massively flawed and if ricky performed last night, he would comfortably outbox him plus adding the wbc belt

Why not what else is available to him he hasn't been out in 6 months. He has been discounted for a fight with Caballero and the only fights available to him are going abroad for a title shot or taking a non title fight that is high risk and will pay low money against an up and coming North American Super Featherweight, what would you choose?

I can guarantee that fight will happen but I would be shocked if that was next as Cook has been out for ever, Cook will get at least one tune up before that.

Sergey Gulyakevich if hes still fighting at SFW, that'd be a great opponent for a first defence. We'll see how Leva looks against Foster Jr. before people decide on him.

 Burns ducked Sykes :yep. He said he had a world title fight lined up and nothing was even set then. Burns realised that a loss to Sykes would cost him a future title shot. Also, Burns struggled like hell against O'Hara whilst Sykes bossed him. Sykes > Burns :yep:yep:lol::lol:

Sergey with Hatton...can't see that happening then.

    Please not Sykes.

I couldn't abide Adam Smith banging on about the abject poverty in the town of Dewsbury for a second time.

If he actually visited he'd realise that there's just one rough as **** estate and the rest is just normal, not every woman is like Karen Matthews

On topic, I've really got no idea who will be next.

A lot of people have mentioned Foster and Cook..... but even if Foster beats Leva (which he probably won't) he's hardly earned his shot, has he?

Plus he's with Ricky now..... and Cook hasn't fought for 18 months.

I don't see the point in taking easy defences, it's not as if he knocked over the weakest champion with a gift decision or anything.... he's won his title fair and square - and should defend it against genuine top 10 opponents.
