If you were guiding his career path who is the next logical opponent and why? I'd be looking to get a hold of Adamek in Poland. Still a 'name' opponent with little power and a questionable chin at heavyweight. Easy win and big money in Poland O would think.
adamek is tough and might have the fitness and if kownacki can't stop him before his gasses it could be a interesting fight
I`d like to see Kownacki hire a good fitness instructor. He has talent, but needs to get into better condition to compete with the better heavyweights.
I haven't seen stamina issues for Kownacki yet, though with that spare tire he lugs around it is a fair guess he might. Seems a calculated risk with a good reward.
I haven't seen adamek fight since the klitschko fight but then I again I didn't see it but if you are losing to molina then you have to be completely shot unless he look better in his comeback fight after the time out he had
I think his recent opponent was ranked 15 with one of the abcs. Likely rankings would be a big part of the equation.
With Joshua and Wilder on collision course and them both already having mandatory opponents maybe look to get him a mandatory shot at Chagaev/Oquendo winner or at least get him ranked by the WBA. Kownacki isn't ranked by the WBA so maybe aim to fight one of the guys in their rankings first. Looking at the WBA rankings Povetkin is a no go as he looking to fight Joshua as he asked to be on the Joshua/Parker undercard. Miller was already offered a fight but declined saying he won't fight his friend unless a title is on the line. Pulev is possible I guess. He's ranked highly by the WBA and WBC so might also maneuver him into a shot at Wilder to incase Wilder ducks Joshua. But a big risk as Pulev is a big jump up in class and Pulev himself seems more interested in fighting over the hill fighters like Johnson, Peter and Chisora of late. Trevor Bryan is another upcoming unbeaten US heavyweight, that's always a possibility. Bryan not really being talked about despite his ranking with WBA, so maybe he takes it to get on people's radar. Hammer would be a winnable fight and get him ranked. Whyte is too risky but would get him a mandatory position with WBC and Whyte would probably take it.
kownacki has a polish following in america so is marketable his limitations are obvious but he is a trier and will i think not lay down i think a miller fight would be the most entertaining/ the top 6 roll over him / parker would win but might not have enough pop to get him out of there albeit kownacki is a sitting target for power shots but he is good to watch nd i hope he mkes good money with that style his career at the top wont last long as soon as his chin starts to get tested there is only many flush punches a fighter can take before the chin starts to erode with a few exceptions. but at least he wont come to lie down / its not like he has a plan b to try and win a fight.
Get him in there with a Kuzmin, Mansour or Duhaupas. Any of those guys are tested bring a good level of fight for different reasons.
i would not fancy kownacki v mansour mansour can really crack and kownacki simply tries to walk through punchs to get his own off. he will need an anvil of a chin v the big punchers of the division mansour is not elite but hw is one of the hravyweight hardest punchers despite his age .
Yep Mansour is no joke, despite his small stature and age he can crack, is a dangerous fight for any up and comer. Not the guy you want to face if your looking for an easy fight and you are easy to hit.
