I cannot understand why no-one in the boxing media is talking about Félix Verdejo. Out of all the fights i watvhed this weekend including cards from China, UK and Germany this kid impressed me the most, well Groves done a pretty good job on Froch also. I just cant believe how good this kid looked and zero publicity, guess its all about hits these days and with fewer fans they decide not to write about him. Yes he was in against an opponent he was supposed to beat, we all know that and have seen many times before, but on the same not we have seen many in that position struggle as the opponent steps up for the challenge. are these just me thought, did anyone see the kid or did they use that time to replenish their beer bucket before the main event. Do you think this guy has what it takes to be the next Puerto Rican star, i do, and he has the promotion behind him and has more of a personality that Cotto. Y'all thoughts Mark Leroy Ayrshire OH
Well he's got all the tools but we really don't have a good measuring stick to rate him with at the moment, call me crazy but I'd like to see him go through a rough patch like get knocked down and come back to win in glorious fashion. I don't trust fighter until they've made it through some sort of adversity in the ring.
Great style, exciting and very athletic. I don't think prospects usually get much hype or publicity so early in their careers though, unless they have a tremendous amateur background (i.e. Lomachenko).
Defo one to keep an eye on, But still fighting opponents leagues below his level. (Look forward to watching him step up)
