Roy Jones Jr., overall. But I doubt any of them earned what Naz did in a ten year period - Naz did commericals for Audi, had sponsership from Sony, and a massive deal with Adidas, he also packed out arenas wherever he went.

Given his longevity its probably RJJ.

It'd be interesting to see though how the figures all compare

    everyone knows the likes of

    Tyson
    Holyfield

    maybe Mayweather

and espcially Oscar De La Hoya

    earned more than anyone

they are too obvious to put on the list.........because I know they were the big earners

But from the list above its not so clear who was the biggest earners

I think Trindad is a dark horse here

He was making $2-3 million a defence at some point

then had the massive $10 million against Oscar

then moved up to Light Middle and Middle and had big unifications there

plus he was bound to have outside marketing deals...........he was a Peurto Rican national icon

Oscar's personal fortune could be between $200-$400 million

Steve Bunce said before that Golden Boy Promotions were turning over

    $1 BILLION a year :yikes:yikes

wether that is accurate or not..............I dont know

But Golden Boy Promotions have become the most powerful Boxing / Sports Promotions in Amercia

I've heard Lampley talk about this, when he mentions how smart Jones was and that he "made the most money, took the least risks" he's pointed out before that during those Light Heavyweight title defenses, he was making around 3.5 million a fight.

I think Hatton would be pretty close.

For the past five years he has been negotiating with all promoters on a one-fight deal and his own television money - so there is no haggling about percentages for promoters etc.

He also has little regard for alphabet titles - showing willingness to vacate in order to seek a greater challenge. I doubt the IBO are charging fees, as they are looking to increase their publicity and credibility with fans.

He also has little by way of entourage, so a smaller payroll.

All good points. The non payment of fees alone is a major factor, and your right, up until employing Mayweather, his relationship with Graham had little effect on his purse so to speak. I read the other day that the IBO are not charging him or Klitschko.
