My card for that fight was 7-5 for pea like one poster said all chavez brought to that fight was ineffective aggression. like margo vs sugar shane. Chavez's only shot in that fight was a knockout, but with pea's chin that wasnt gonna even come close to happening. the sweet science is all about hitting while not getting hit and sweetpea was the master at that and chavez found that out.

The only ones that spent enough time at the weight to deserve to be in with a shot at winning a 140 lbs poll are Tszyu, Chavez, Taylor & Pryor... cut that to just 3 since the Chavez-Taylor fight puts Meldrick out on his ear.

3 ATG 140 lb champions, I think the prime H2H fights between all 3 would see Tszyu lose twice, Pryor 1-1 & Chavez 2-0.

Chavez v Pryor would be an instant classic, brilliant fight which would be won by Julio`s more precise inside shots & ability to (mostly) slip Pryor`s awkward 2 fisted bursts would see him to a pts win.

Chavez was the greatest 140 lb champion of all time.

If you replace the word `destroy` with the word `beat` then I agree with every word on your post.

    :good

I would roll with Mayweather Jr. simply because styles make fights. I could see Tszyu beating Pac because he just knows how to time quick leftys. I personally think style-wise that Whitaker could beat everyone on the list including Tszyu because his defense and ring smarts were awesome. Floyd is the closest thing to Sweet Pea stylisticly.Pryor gets hit a little too much with his chin sky high. That's not good news against this list of bangers. I see Pryor beating only Taylor on this list. I see Chavez losing to Floyd and Tszyu and maybe Pac. I think he would crush Pryor to the body and start bombing upstairs. Then again Pryor had a way of intimidating his opponents with his swarming offense.Pac is really unknown here at this weight but no one on this list blows him out. I just don't know how he would fare against a live puncher who is going to have a strategy and can deal with his speed. Last but not least I don't see Meldrick Taylor beating any of the fighters listed. He had too much heart and not enough smarts. No diss intended.

Pea caught JCC at the right time IMO, at 135 Pea would have his hands full from rd 1 to rd 12, I think Chavez could beat him too both at their best, 135 lbs... very close fight tho, Pea was a great boxer as ESB keep on reminding us day in, day out.
