Dude how can you make a statement that pascal is very fundamental and not even try and back it up thats absurd.

    No substance.

Pascal's career is still young so who knows how good he will be... Mayweather's best and most relevant win is Corrales. The rest of his high profile wins were against name guys that were either well past their prime (DLH and Mosely) or small guys coming up in weight to fight him (Hatton and Marquez). For Hopkins to fight both Pavlik and Pascal the last couple years, that takes a lot of balls... balls that Mayweather sure doesn't have.

Pascal ain't all that. He lost to Froch for goodness sake, and didn't deserve a draw against Hopkins. The win over Dawson doesn't automatically put him in the hall of fame. In two years he'll return to his deserved obscurity, and he'll be remembered as a one hit wonder.
Lots of guys on Mayweathers resume are better than Pascal. Chavez, Castillo, Corrales, Marquez, Mosely, DLH, heck Gatti and Baldomir all have more quality wins than Pascal does.

In hindsight I suppose but at the time Chico was undefeated and was considered a dangerous opponent.

We're talking about Jean Pascal here folks...

    More Skilled & More Dangerous:
Mosley; #3 P4P when Floyd fought him, #1 welterweight
    de la Hoya; @ 154 in 2007
Judah; at the time, def better than Pascal is now P4P
JLC twice; taking on lineal champ in first move to lightweight
Corrales; #5 P4P when Floyd fought him
Genaro Hernandez; Mayweather was barely a 2 year pro

    More Skilled:
JMM; don't care if he is a lightweight, he was THE lightweight champ and #2 P4P in Floyd's absence
    Hatton; #8 P4P
    Baldomir; lineal champ

Not Quite but Relatively Close to as Skilled or Dangerous:
Gatti; obviously not the same Gatti, but still was coming off several WBC title defenses and his last loss was to Micky Ward
    Chavez; volume puncher
    N'dou; power puncher
Manfredy; dropped and stopped Gatti earlier in the year 1998

Got to love when people try to bring up Mayweather's resume as if to put his accomplishments down and it backfires.

Who are those two guys? Are you serious kid? Genaro Hernandez was a beast in that division who only lost to Oscar before losing to Floyd. If memory serves me right he never lost a fight at that weight until Floyd beat him. Chavez was a damn good fighter as well. You don't know **** about boxing. A prime Hernandez would beat Morales, Barrera and probably even Manny.

I'm not at all impressed with Pascal. He is strong, fast, and athletic, but lacks technique and skill. He still has plenty of time to improve, but as of right now there are plenty on Floyds resume that are better: De La Hoya, Judah, Castillo, JM Marquez, just to name a few.

I thought Pascal was going to beat Hopkins just by fighting at a faster pace and overwhelming him with punches in bunches, being he's so much younger. Another thing that would of made a positive differance for Jean is working the older mans body. But since he lacks the skill, I knew he wouldn't of been able to do this.

I got nothing against Pascal, just expressing my honest opinion. By the way I think Bute would beat him convincingly if he doesn't improve. What do you think Hendo?
