Who on Pac's resume would have ever had a shot at beating Floyd?

Is there any fighter on Pac's resume that would be favored to win against Mayweather? (assuming weight was equal, eg. Morales vs Floyd at 130 etc.)

A few who would've made it interesting but none would be favored. Pacquiao and Mayweather are the best fighters of this era.

Favoured? no, but despite what some people may think a SFW though a little past it version of Morales that Pacquiaio lost to would give Floyd some problems.

I seriously doubt that. I love Morales, but he was too slow for Floyd. Way too slow.

Morales was at least as fast as Castillo.

Speed isn't everything, and Morales at 130lbs would have caused Floyd more problems then a Hernandez or a Manfredy or a Corrales.

Are we talking about in their careers or the same fighter that fought Pac?

For instance, a prime Floyd vs. a prime Mosely is a good fight. The shot Mosely who fought Pac never stood a chance.

Morales has the best shot, great technical boxer from long range, solid chin to cancel out his lapses in defense (which in reality was a prime Morales only weakness), unbreakable will, good stamina & the ability to switch to numerous styles throughout the fight, mix into that Morales activity, pressure & volume of punches, I`d say he is definitely the best bet.

A prime Morales without a size disadvantage vs fmj = bad news for fmj, win or lose.

But he wasnt as big or as strong.

It wasnt Castillo's speed that gave Floyd problems.

You could say the same about Mayweather's resume. Pacquiao has to be favored against everyone on Mayweather's resume just the same as Mayweather has to be favored against everyone from Pacquiao's resume.

For all of his vast talent and skills, Mayweather's resume (what he actually achieved) is pretty thin in comparison to what his ability suggests he could. Pacquiao has a better resume, but his resume isn't as good as it could be either, thanks to all the careful TR matchmaking over the years.

Neither man has ever fought the best competition available at every opportunity. Nevertheless, they're still the two best fighters of the era.

    None would be favoured.

Morales would have game him the toughest test but Floyd would still be the favourite.

Its a pretty stupid question because the only person who could beat PBF is Pacquaio....but prime Morales would be a close thing.

A prime Morales was not a slow fighter by any means, speed is nothing without technique & timing anyway, Morales had those qualities from beginning to the end of his career, especially the peak version.

This thread asks what would happen `if both were the same size` tho.
