Don't bet on this fight, would be my advice. It's going to be close and the judges could give it to Pavlik even if Hopkins wins. If you insist on betting, don't put more than $5, on Hopkins.

  3. I'm not a betting man. I just want to know who, why, and how it's going to happen from someone who has made good predictions in the past

i would have bet my house that 42-1 favourite mike tyson would have beat the buster douglas i saw give up v toney tucker.

good job i just watched the unbelivable event i saw unfolding before my eyes instead of betting on it.

Pavlik will win it. Comfortably, but not by knockout. Pavlik uses his reach pretty well, is strong, and has a good jab. Hopkins likes for his opponent to get in close before throwing his own punches because he only goes on the attack when he is almost 100% sure he can't be hit by a fluke punch. But Pavlik only gets in close if his jab is touching his opponent first, which it won't do often. So Pavlik will stay at a distance, jab jab jab, and slowly move forward. Every time he gets in mid range hopkins will either clutch him or turn Pavlik and walk away. Hopkins will wait for Pavlik to make mistakes and get tired, but Pavlik won't do them often enough and won't get tired. Pavlik will win a wide UD.

I predicted Calzaghe vs Hopkins to a T. I hope i'm wrong on this one, and that Hopkins beats Pavlik.
