I think I speak for most people when I say that the heavyweight division today is abismal. To mention all that is wrong with the division would take hours of my time and frankly I dont have much.

its well enough for me to point to only a few points:

Who is the champ? no one really knows anymore. there are 3 or 4 heavyweight champions out there....does that bother anyone else?

there arnt 3-4-5 world series champs at one time.

there arnt 3-4-5 stanley cup champs at one time.

there arnt 3-4-5 Fifa champions at a time.

so one reason for the heavyweight division being the way it is (and frankly the reason boxing isnt as popular as it used to be) is alphabet orginisations. if I may I would like to quote Mike Tyson of all people. "one pope, one president, and one world champion"

another possibility that one might point too is that the last 2 Ring Mag. heavyweight champions retired as champions forceing a stupid Vacancy because of the alphabet titles forceing there champions to defend against nobodys and people who dont have belts( in fact the differant orginisations have it set so that when a fighter wins one belt that fighter is instantly stipped of a ranking in the other orginisations.

So here we have a few new people to blame: Lennox Lewis, Vitali Klitschko, and once again the alphabet soup guys.

one last possibility for blaiming falls squarely upon the shoulders of the Nazi Party. Why you ask? well I figured every B class movie now-days still have the Nazi's as the bad guys so I figured a B class poster might as well do the same.

so is it Lewis,Klitschko, the ABC groups, the Nazi's or someone else?

here it is folks whos to blaim?

I think many boxing fans are just automatically biased against white guys firstly but almost everyone is biased against Russians.

Alpahabet titles is the main one. Basically there is serious money to be made as "a" heavyweight champ. So there's nothing to be gained from unfiying in the same way as there is at MW, whatever, where the money is still excellent, but not superstar.

Declining footwork and no great emerging fighter is also a factor.

i can't really say - but there is obviously more 'slugging' and less fantastic power punchers or tremendously skilled boxers. Everyone has just gotten more 'allround' and boring.

I stick to the theory that big, tall, athletic guys are trying to pusue basketball or football careers.

I voted for the Nazis! damn them for ruining this sport just because Schmeling was knocked out...that was seventy years ago, Nazi's need to get over it.

I don't think that the division is any worse now than it is usually.

If the Iron Curtain was still lowered that would be a terrible division.
