Heres your chance to make yourself know. Tell us your reason/reasons why you don't like this kid.

Is it his one-dimensional fighting style or his poor defense??? :)yep )

Is it his crooked bottom lip when he speaks?

Is it because he's not into the "Bling, Bling, Hip-Hop" scene?

Or the the fact that you KNOW he would destroy your favorite Middlewt/SMW?

If I missed any other options, please enlighten us.

Obviously, you need to have your head examined if you don't like damn near everything about him & consider yourself a true boxing fan.

    So lets hear it!

You can't dislike Kelly, unless you're a Jermain Taylor fan.

I think even Taylor fans have come to respect him. Maybe even like him. I feel that both men have mutual respect for eachother after what they both had to go through.

I don't dislike Kelly Pavlik, I actually think he is a breath of freshair for the Boxing scene.

With that said, I'm a realist, and I'm convinced he isn't going to have a 10 year reign like Hopkins or Monzon. I think he can be outboxed.

I don't dislike Pavlik - in fact I'd say that the guy has done very well in shaking up the MW division. He's keeping it real too. Seems like a decent guy.

By KP's own decision, he wants out by the time he's 30. That only 4 more yrs. Sure, someone may box circles around him. But for a full 12 rounds without being nailed eventually?

    I don't think so.

I like him. I respect him. I rate him. I think he is overated though and spoken about in a manner that is simply not justified by who he has fought.
I also think he has several quite big flaws, but that these flaws are things he can improve on and iron out to a degree.

I dont think many people can dislike the guy but i can see how ALOT of people are still unimpressed and think he's a hype job. I'm NOT one of them by the way. I actually think he's the best at 160-168 right now.

Boxers always say they want to retire at 30, most fight on after. Are you saying you think Pavlik will stay undefeated for the next 4 years?

I think Pavlik is a good fighter, exciting to watch, solid and can punch, also his personality is good in that i dont think he will be distracted so he could go a long way.
Saying that and I don't care what anyone says I want to see him in the ring with someone who is a bit better than Miranda though, don't really rate Taylor that highly after watching some of his fights so I think Kelly has a lot to prove but there is something special about him for sure.
He is overhyped to **** at the moment which is a bit sad because everyone will be sick of hearing about him soon (especially on here) after his demolition of that superstar of boxing Gary Lockett!

There is nothing to dislike about the guy. He is nice and good for boxing. I just think he is getting too much credit for what he has done so far in his career. Give him another year or two and maybe he will be there. His defense has some holes and he has been close to being stopped from Taylor. JT hadnt put a guy on the canvas in over 2 years and fought some light weight guys in that run. He also never had a KO in his professional career.

Dont get me wrong, I am not trying to come down on the guy. I am just trying to be realistic and think he has a lot more yet to prove then many others on this board who think he is approaching all time great status already!!
