Who out there does NOT like Kelly Pavlik???

And it comes in different styles, not just pure boxers, I like all kinds of styles, I just like to see precision in all of them as well as varied work. Pac is precise with timing, but he doesn't vary up his work and gets sloppy, gets away with it because of great physical ability, which Pavlik lacks, but I can't stand Pac all the same, I find him very boring.

 

I have nothing against Pavlik he made me respect him after the first Taylor fight. He's somewhat flawed but great fighter to watch.

 

I like Kelly, but I do think he is overrated slightly....he was half a second from getting TKO'd by Taylor in the 2nd round...infact I would say 80% of refs would have stopped him....he did brilliantly well to recover and he's getting better, but he aint the second coming of Jesus Chris as some paint him out on here

 

He's a very good boxer. Exciting to watch. The MW division hasn't seen an elite KO artist type of champion in quite some time.

 

It's hard to not like fighters like Pavlik, Cotto, Pac, etc.............
Humble warriors who always put it all on the line and give us nothing but exciting fights!

 

Taylor has never had a true KO, only TKO's.

 

I dig Kelly Pavlik, he's an exciting fighter with quality skills and power, very well spoken, and seems to be a classy guy. has developed a nice following of fans which is good to see. Kelly is good for boxing. He's a guy that excites people and gets fans talking.

I dont like pavloids.

Pavlik I have no problem with, he seems a decent guy who is a good fighter.
If he fights Joe Calzaghe in 09 I think Joe will beat him but he is a very live threat due to him coming to his peak and joe in decline.

I dont like pavloids because on the back of a victory against gary lockett they have become so confident that a fight against joe calzaghe will be the same outcome and the same outclassing.

 

How does thinking he is one dimensional or has no defense equate into not liking the fighter personally?

I myself think he is overhyped, is VERY one dimensional, is terrible defensively, etc. But I like him as a fighter. He is enjoyable to watch...his fight vs Miranda was one of my favs of the past couple years (two feared punchers, both pourus defensively both throwing BOMBS at each other trying to drop the other one...whats not to like about that..?).

I swear, with some fans (especially on this site) either you are blindly a fan of one fighter...seeing no faults and exhaulting them onto a pedestal of greatness...or your a hater.

Give me a break with this crap.

(and BTW, I can think of a handful of MW, SMWs I would give a great chance to beat Kelly...again tho...its either he is indestructable or a bum with some people....:verysad )

 

The lights reflecting off of that rope makes it look like he is litterally knocking something out of Locketts ear.....

 

If he stays in Youngstown he can live like a king on what he as earned already.
