Who overcame a lack of natural ability to be an ATG?

    Froch will go down as a British ATG. Does that count?

    He compensated fundamental flaws by training like an animal. Putting blood , sweat and tears into camps and living a purified life .

    And also having an iron chin and unbreakable will to win lead him to a successful career where just his boxing ability wouldn't have been enough.

    I think Froch is a much better boxer than given credit for, its just that hes so damn slow.

    He was an overachiever who was fortunate to have excellent management and a canny promoter but an ATG ?NO.

    The fight Id love to have seen with both in their prime would be
    Rocky Marciano - Randall Tex Cobb !! Whoever refereed that would have to be very brave it would be a bloodbath with neither man taking a backward step I'd willingly pay $100 to see a PPV of that one

    Believe me Frank was not a natural puncher. It took Terry Lawless years to get Frank to punch correctly. Brave certainly, big, without doubt, but do you consider those natural " talents "?
